Annual Speed Bag Gathering 2026

The 2026 Annual Speed Bag Gathering is more than an event it’s a tradition. This year marks a new chapter for the speed bag family. With Tim Platt, the longtime organizer stepping back, gyms and dedicated baggers have stepped forward, volunteering their time, energy, and passion to carry the torch. It’s a powerful reminder that this community isn’t built on one person it’s built on all of us. Once again, baggers from across the country will come together on both coasts, united by rhythm, respect, and the shared love of the bag.

The East Coast event will be proudly sponsored by Lowell Boxing Club, while the West Coast gathering will take place at R3 Boxing.

In cooperation with Jeff Thrasher, Eras Noel, and private sponsors, the East Coast gathering will also host the first ever Speed Bag Drag Race to 300 Punches featuring a $7,000 first place prize. This historic event is set to raise the bar and push the limits of speed, endurance, and competitive rhythm like never before. With each location bringing its own energy and experience, baggers are encouraged to attend both events and be part of this defining moment in speed bag history.
